To some, it must seem like this young electronic producer came out of nowhere this year. Emancipator (Doug Appling) played his first live show in July 2009, opening for Bonobo at the Roseland Theater (cap. 1500). Since then, he’s toured with Bassnectar, STS9, Pretty Lights, drawn crowds at festivals like Trinumeral and Symbiosis, and closed out Sound Tribe Sector 9’s late night parties in Denver at the request of the band.

Their music has been described as "dance punk" and "new wave." The quartet of Todd Fink (vocals), Jacob Thiele (keyboards), Dapose (guitars) and Clark Baechle (drums) is hitting the road to promote the deluxe remastered re-release of their hit album, 'Danse Macabre,' which will be performed in its entirety, live for the first time. They will also be playing new songs and old favorities.

Swingin' Utters

Originally formed in the '80s, the Swingin' Utters brought their own brand of aggressive music to the growing Bay Area punk scene. As well as being classified as a rock, street punk and even Oi band, reminiscent of British '70s bands, Swingin' Utters have increasingly shown themselves to be influenced by traditional Irish, American country, folk, and Reggae. Soon the Swingin' Utters established their position as the West Coast's most dependable purveyors of gimmick-free punk.
