Brain Boosting Summer Camps - Washington's History Mysteries

Do you have kiddos who need enriching summer activities? Take a look at the History Museumís exciting week-long summer camps, scheduled during July. Avoid the summer brain-drain and have fun both inside and outside of the museum. There are just 30 spots in each camp, so donít wait to sign up. All the details are on the Historical Societyís website, including member discounts.

Summer Kids' Maker Market

Children,Craft Show,Fair/Festival

Entrepreneurial makers ages 4-18 are invited to bring their hand-crafted items to sell at a special Kids Maker Market, inspired by the exhibition Make/Do: A History of Creative Reuse (on view July 14-Dec. 6). The Kids Maker Market will be held on Free Third Thursday August 16 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Kids can rent tables for $10 to sell their handmade wares. This is an opportunity for youth to experience the creative process, bring their ideas to life, and exercise business skills on a small scale. Visitors can make something of their own at a craft table and enjoy snacks while they shop. Local maker Allison Stewart Bishins is organizingt this event for the History Museum.
