The son of influential Nigerian bandleader Fela, Femi Anijulapo Kuti continues his father's legacy of performing heavily percussive, horn-driven, politically-infused, Afro-beat music for enthusiastic fans across the world. Femi reveals an ever-expanding musical palette on his newest CD, 'Day By Day.' The new material is, like his previous work, a unique hybrid of Afro-pop, jazz and urban influences.

Over the past 13 years, Dead Sessions has grown to become one of the favorite Grateful Dead experiences in the Northeast. Playing since 1998, the group is known for its authentic but unique renditions of Grateful Dead classics, thick with heartfelt jams that make even the most jaded DeadHead rejoice. Dead Sessions is composed of a rotating cast of musicians throughout New England, having developed not only into a regular homecoming for VT-area DeadHeads, but also one of the premier experiences for explorative improvisation

Sister Sparrow and The Dirty Birds is a nine-piece powerhouse from Brooklyn, formed in 2008, that delivers a blend of gut-busting soul, earthy rock, and New Orleans-inspired beats. Their newest effort is 'Pound of Dirt,' an album title taken from an old American proverb, "You gotta eat a pound of dirt before you die," which exemplifies their gritty philosophy. Natalie, Allison and Meegan Closner named their folk-rock trio Joseph after their beloved grandfather, as well as after a small town in eastern Oregon. They grew up camping at the lake in Joseph, staying at their Grandpa Jo's farmstead, playing cards on the porch, riding down his long dusty driveway in the back of a pickup truck, watching thunderstorm shows, and flying over fields on tire swings.

Melvin Seals


Melvin Seals has been a powerful presence in the music industry for over 30 years with a long-established reputation as a performer, recording artist and producer. Melvin is most revered for his powerful, high-spirited, Hammond B-3 organ, and keyboards in the Jerry Garcia Band. Melvin spun his B-3 magic with the Jerry Garcia Band for 18 years and in doing so helped pioneer and define what has now become “Jam Band Music." From blues to funk to rock to jazz, Melvin Seals serves up a tasty mix with a little R&B and gospel thrown in to spice things up.
