Jonny Lang

Jonny Lang (born Jon Gordon Langseth, Jr.) started playing the guitar at 12, after his father took him to see the Bad Medicine Blues Band, one of the few blues bands in Fargo, ND. He took lessons from Ted Larsen, the band's guitarist and later joined the band under its new name: Kid Jonny Lang & The Big Bang. Over a 10-year period Lang toured with the Rolling Stones, Buddy Guy, Aerosmith, B.B. King, Blues Traveler, Jeff Beck and Sting, and also made a cameo appearance in the movie 'Blues Brothers 2000' as a janitor. Lang is a veteran force who melds the traditions and long history of blues music with vitality, freshness and an ever-evolving blending of genres.

Auction, Benefit/Fundraiser

The annual Mount Baker Council Scout Auction, “The Summit”, is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29th, starting at 5:15 pm, and will be held at the Tulalip Resort Hotel in Tulalip, Washington. All proceeds go to benefit and prepare the boys and girls of the Mount Baker Council for their future and make a difference in their lives. Individual auction tickets cost $125 and a table for ten costs $1,250. The Summit features several events including three silent auction opportunities, a dinner and live auction with auctioneer Jay Fisk, and a special offer on discounted Tulalip resort rooms for auction guests. Guests can also purchase a Golden Ticket to enter for a chance to win their pick of valuable auction items. Golden Tickets are $100 and may be bought online or during The Summit between 5:15 pm and 7 pm. Winners must be present at the event to claim their prize.
