Dying Well: A Class for Anyone Still Living

Our society teaches us to avoid talking about death and dying and insists that we should be able to grieve in three days and then get back to our lives. This two-part workshop will explore topics surrounding death and dying including legal issues, needs of the family, and ethical issues. This class is designed for people who are not actively dying but would like more information for themselves or for loved ones regarding end of life. Developed as an interactive workshop, participants will received resources to support their own planning as well as an opportunity to explore their opinions and options on medical, financial, and ethical decisions. Instructor: Andrea Seabert, MSW. Andrea , co-owner of Radiance Herbs and Massage, received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Washington. She teaches death and dying, ethics, diversity, and conflict resolution as an adjunct professor. She directs Camp Victory, a non-profit organization that provides a healing residential camp experience for child survivors of sexual abuse.
