Marjorie Rommel, Poet Laureate of Auburn, will be the featured reader for the Olympia Poetry Network on Wednesday, February 21, 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Traditions Café, 300 5th Ave. SW. Her poetry reflects her diverse work history as a logging truck driver, logging camp cook, hash house waitress, newspaper reporter-photographer-editor, publicist, creative writing instructor at Highline and Pierce colleges, and visiting lecturer at Pacific Lutheran University. Her writing has appeared in over hundred literary and commercial publications. An Open Mic will precede the reading. The event is free.
